Lou and his team were so kind and helpful during what was an incredibly stressful situation. My PC's motherboard crashed and took the hard drive with all my business data with it, then I found out that my backups had failed. DriveCrash assessed my drive and kept in contact with me as they worked on repairing and recovering my data. I didn't know this service existed. They have flexible hours on the weekends as well. A little pricey, but the service is worth it. I had a damaged USB Flash Drive that has my most important files saved. The motherboard was damaged and needed to be replaced. He expedited the service and it was ready within 24 hours. Communication was excellent and so is the updates from their side through texts and emails.

The staff was very friendly and worked diligently to restore my dropped hard drive (which they did restore), but they were very unclear with how long this repair would take and how much that would cost. I ended up having to spend way more than I ever could have imagined this to cost. Obviously data repair and restoration is a premium service because it's so specialized and important, but I wish there was a better way to know what I was getting into beforehand and any other way to make it cheaper for my broke ass. Would recommend their services but expect to break the bank for your broken drive

If you're like me, you may have bought hard drives many years ago that you can't seem to get working, but house years worth of files that are extremely valuable to you. I made the mistake of taking these drives to other places that offered free initial services which ended up being a big mistake as they could not recover a single MB.

Mike over at DriveCrash should be the first person you contact if you value your files. Their location is COVID friendly, everyone there wore masks, and there's plenty of parking. After Mike opened up one of my drives, he saw that the previous shop had caused irreversible damage. However, the good news was he was able to recover a portion of the drive which was not as damaged. The second drive had better luck and was able to be fully recovered.

Communication was excellent in person, by phone, and through email. Mike was able to provide live updates and walked me through any questions/concerns I had. While data recovery is not the cheapest process, I was given a reasonable price and had my files back within a week. Hoping I won't have drives crash on me in the future but I know where I'll take them if I do.

Let me just get this out there first, data recovery is not cheap nor is it a job that can always be quoted beforehand. DriveCrash is probably the only data recovery service I trust in Southern California. And even people from all over the states trust them. I had a very, very, very long journey to get a 1TB drive recovered after it literally crapped out while I was editing a project for a client. I have never had a drive crash before and I was all of a sudden forced into a completely new world searching for someone to fix it. DriveCrash was probably the 6 or 7th company and I immediately knew I needed to use them after talking with Louis over the phone for a while about the whole process. Like I said, data recover is not cheap, it’s an expensive craft. Like having someone rebuild the engine in your car, they can give you a ball park estimate beforehand but not an exact quote until everything is done. In my case, it was $400 for the drive to be evaluated and $1,800 for it to be serviced. Now, yes this is a lot of money, but to take a gamble between someone whose says they can do it for 500 bucks but can’t be sure of the outcome versus someone who says they can do it for 2,400 but is very optimistic that outcome will be very good, then it’s a no brainer. A 1TB drive with 960GB of the last 4 years of my personal visual arts career was on the line and DriveCrash was able to recovery at least 99% of the data to my observation after getting the drive back. Louis was a huge help throughout the entire process and the rest of the team as well, and the really cool thing is no matter what, if you call anytime, 24/7, someone will always answer to help with questions or anything else you need. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hard drives.

The worst possible thing that could ever happen to me.. my Hard Drive didn't turn on. All my precious memory is gone!!! I took it to a local computer repair shop and they couldn't fix it. My WD external drive stopped working while backing up some photos. After spending weeks trying to figure it out with various online software and pretty much any tips that I read, I contacted DriveCrash.

I shopped around before deciding to use DriveCrash. Let's be clear - DriveCrash were NOT the cheapest. The new drive arrived 3 days later in good order (well packed) and after looking through my data I truly believe they recovered all but a handful of items. The important stuff was ALL there.

Paul and Lou are THE BEST! My 2018 Macbook Pro had froze up while my 2TB WD Element external hard drive was plugged in. I had to do the thing you weren't suppose to do, which is to just unplug the external without being able to eject it. And then of course, my files were all gone.

Luckily, I called the emergency number on their website. Lou picked up and had calmed me down. They were able to fix my external within 3 days! Paul was the one that was actually working on my drive and I got about 99% of my files back! Some of the files that were lost were super corrupted, but luckily, there weren't any important ones that were lost! They also educated me on which externals were good to buy and ended up giving me a trusted one and transferred the retrieved files onto that one. I'm a graphic designer and they have definitely saved my entire life's work!
